About UsSchool- Dallas School of Aeronautics is a prep school for experienced aircraft maintenance technical personnel who have a desire to obtain their FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate. Our school has two Designated Mechanical Examiners on staff. We have a home study course for Aviation Inspector Authorization and administer various computer examinations with instant results. Examples are FAA, FCC, Microsoft Office User Specialist, Siebel Products, Nokia Security Administration and more. JerryReeves has been a Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) since 1991, A&P since 1968,
holds an FCC license and is a certified IA. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as a mechanic on B-47 aircraft and general aviation aircraft. After
serving in the military he joined Texas International Airlines/Continental Airlines where he worked for 14 years on Convair 600's and DC-9 aircraft. After leaving
Texas International Airlines he taught General, Airframe & Powerplant subjects as well as basic electricity in a Part 147 Aviation Mechanic Technical School for 8 1/2 years.
RandyButler has been a Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) since 1992, A&P since 1970 and is a certified IA.
He received his Bachelor Degree in Education and Business with an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from Wayland Baptist University located in Plainview, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force
for 22 years where he did flightline maintenance on C-141 and C-5 aircraft. He was also a career development course writer for large turbine jet aircraft and a maintenance instructor. After retiring from
the military he taught in a Part 147 A & P school.
